Esteemed Star The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.
US performer Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday following cancer treatment from 2022 onward, as reported by media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his relatives shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a regular part on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He appeared as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, playing a host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous well-known programs, like:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.
His film credits are It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote online.
Finn is survived by his spouse Donna, three children, and his family.
