Bullish Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about being fired but Celtic fans show anger following loss.
The under-pressure manager stated he did not fear the sack, claiming, “The team is very near to changing our fortunes,” despite sliding worryingly close to being fired with a heavy setback against the Ibrox side.
A Second-Half Capitulation Sees Old Firm Disaster
The Hoops were in front Rangers at the interval but a disastrous second period enabled the Gers to draw level on points with the current Scottish Premiership champions. Nancy, who was hired in December, has now been in charge for six losses in eight matches.

Pressed on his own future, Nancy replied: “I don’t think about it. I think about finding ways to get the team to improve on small moments.
Fan Fury Erupts

“Wins and losses [that leads to pressure]. That is the truth for the moment. But by saying that’s how it is, it doesn’t mean that I am giving up. Not at all. What I mean we are on the cusp, imminently close to turn things around.”
Nancy’s Persistent Belief
The coach highlights the fact the side show good levels for one half at a time. Indeed, were it not for poor finishing they could have been more than 1-0 up. “There were positives other than the fact that we missed our chances,” he said. “I know that we lost, but it's important to stay objective.
“The performance we had at times was exceptionally high. That is a fact. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was not the case. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I noted this is the same story. For that reason I believe we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: small things.”
“We produced plenty of positives that we did, like today again. But now it’s about consistency. My outlook would be different if I didn't believe it. This is why I am a big believer the team can to get back on track.”
The Rangers Boss Response
Danny Röhl was cautious about a serious challenge in spite of what seemed like a landmark win. “We take it game by game, and we can develop momentum,” he said. “The faith in the team is excellent.”
